Map markers
Reviiri offers three different types of map markers: a point marker defines one location of interest, a line marker defines a continuous route, and an area marker defines an area. All of these markers are always visible in the Tracker mobile app as well, for users who have access to the club’s maps.
All map markers are created in the map view by marking a point, line, or area with the mouse. The location of a point marker can also be entered directly as coordinates, if desired. Each marker has a name, which is always shown in the mobile app together with the symbol, line, or area, and it may also have a longer description that can be viewed separately. Map markers can be organized into folders according to their purpose; the folder structure is also visible in the mobile app. When the folders are organized logically, a hunter can, for example, hide feeding sites with one click while keeping stand locations visible.
For line and area markers, the placement can be set either as part of the base map or as a map marker. When placed on the base map, the marker behaves like areas created from contracts: it is always permanently visible together with the club’s maps, and its name is not shown. A line or area placed as a map marker is displayed the same way as a marker created directly in the mobile app: its name is visible and it can be hidden through the target menu. In practice, it is recommended to place hunting prohibition or restriction areas on the base map, and use map markers for more supportive information such as missing paths, roadbeds, or power lines.
